ARCS disperses cash aid to 2,600 Kabul widows and orphans

Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) officials say they have provided cash assistance to 2,600 widows and orphans in Kabul province.The cash
aid was provided by the British Red Cross and 8,500 afghanis was given to each person, ARCS officials said.Although the recipients of the
cash aid are happy about the initiative, they said that work opportunities should be provided for them.&Thank you [ARCS] for helping us
We hope this organization helps us more in the future,& said a recipient.ARCS officials stated that many families in Nangarhar, Kandahar and
