Locals were protesting for the upgrading of a primary health center in Barahathawa Municipality-6.It is reported that the police resorted to
blank firing and lobbed tear gas shells to control the situation, as demonstrators threw stones at the residential building of Barahathawa

The NHRC called for legal actions against the perpetrators and urged the government to ensure appropriate compensation for the deceased's
family and treatment for the injured individuals.Furthermore, the NHRC appealed to the government to ensure law and order and create an
environment to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in the future."
