Energy ministry, Chinese business talk about electrical power supply for copper extraction

Officials in the Ministry of Energy and Water have held talks with Metallurgical Corp of China (MCC) over supplying electricity for the
extraction of Mes Aynak copper.The ministry said in a statement that production of 370 megawatts of power from coal in Bamyan province and
alternatives in this regard were discussed in the meeting.It was decided that the proposed alternatives shall be assessed by MCC and the
results shall be shared within a week.IEA officials have repeatedly said that the relevant institutions are ready for the start of
