Acting Minister of Public Works Mohammad Esa Thani has said that if Pakistan does not complete the construction of the second lane of the
Jalalabad-Torkham highway, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) will do it.The construction of the road, which is 75 kilometers long,
had begun 16 years ago with the financial commitment of Pakistan, but it has not been completed yet.Thani, during his visit to Nangarhar
province with Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, also said that technical teams have been dispatched to
visit the second lane of the Kabul-Jalalabad highway and the issue of resuming the project will be discussed with the leader of the Islamic
Emirate.All problems will be addressed, but based on priorities, we will seek to discuss with the leadership of the Islamic Emirate about
the start of the second Kabul-Nangarhar road
We hope that this problem will be solved soon,& Baradar said.He emphasized that security plays an important role in the economic and
