Deputy PM says Daesh has been suppressed in Afghanistan

Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, the prime minister&s deputy for political affairs, said on Sunday that Daesh has been suppressed in Afghanistan and
that border security has been ensured more now than ever before.According to a statement by the prime minister&s office, Kabir said in a
meeting with the EU&s Chargé d&affaires in Kabul, Raffaella Iodice, that corruption, drug production and coercion have ended in
Afghanistan.He considered the role of the European Union in Afghanistan&s issues to be important and stressed the need for continued
assistance to Afghanistan in the fields of health, education and infrastructure construction.According to the statement, Iodice in turn
emphasized the need for the expansion of EU&s relations with Afghanistan and assured Kabir of the EU&s continued humanitarian aid to the
people of Afghanistan.She added that Afghanistan is a victim of climate change and the international community needs to pay special
