Market Now: These stocks defy positive market mood, crack up to 6% on BSE

NEW DELHI: Shares of Videocon (down 6.03 per cent), PC Jeweller (down 4.47 per cent) and Rallis India (down 4.44 per cent) cracked up to 6
per cent on BSE during Friday's trade, defying positive market sentiment. Stocks such as Larsen Toubro Infotech (down 3.58 per cent),
Cyient (down 3.14 per cent), GATI (down 3 per cent), Great Eastern Shipping (down 2.06 per cent) and HCL Technologies (down 2.05 per cent)
fell over 2 per cent. Equity barometer surged over 300 points to touch 35,031 during the morning trade on Friday, backed by firm global cues
and buying across sectors, except for select IT counters. BSE Sensex was up 283 points at 34,997 around 10:15 am(IST), while the NSE Nifty
index was trading 76 points up at 10,694
Bank, auto, energy and realty stocks were at the front seat among the gainers. In the Sensex index, 22 stocks were trading in the green,
comparted with 9 stocks that were in the red around that time. Axis Bank, State Bank of India, ICICI Bank and Reliance Industries were the
top gainers in the Sensex index. Tata Consultancy Services and Wipro cracked almost 2 per cent in the Sensex index.
