NEW DELHI: The counter of Adani Power was buzzing as the most traded stock on NSE in morning trade on Tuesday.
By 9:40 am, over 2.55 crore
shares of the company had changed hands on NSE.
It was followed by Jaiprakash Associates (number of shares traded: 1.21 crore) and Idea
Cellular (0.98 crore).
Reliance Communications (0.93 crore), IFCI (0.70 crore), Axis Bank (0.62 crore), PC Jeweller (0.52 crore), Punjab
National Bank (0.51 crore), Bank of Baroda (0.46 crore) and IDFC Bank (0.34 crore) also found themselves among the most traded stocks.
On
the other hand, Axis Bank (Rs 356.46 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.
InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo) (Rs
277.93 crore), Tech Mahindra (Rs 220.12 crore), Reliance Industries (Rs 162.22 crore), Avenue Supermarts (Rs 103.88 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs
98.69 crore) and State Bank of India (Rs 97.11 crore) too featured among the most active stocks in value terms.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 18 points
down at 11,302, while the BSE Sensex was down 66 points at 37,429 around 09:40 am.
In the Nifty index, 22 stocks were advancing, while 28
were declining.
Tech Mahindra, Bharti Airtel), NTPC, Dr
Reddy's Laboratories and Asian Paints were among the top gainers in the Nifty index.
On the other hand, BPCL, Indiabulls Housing Finance,
BPCL, HDFC and Vedanta were among the top losers in the Nifty pack of stocks.
