The United Nations Population Fund in Afghanistan (UNFPA) said that approximately 63 percent of Afghanistan&s population is under 25 years
old.The organization on Monday on the occasion of &World Youth Day& said in a post on X that with meaningful engagement of this group,
humanitarian and development efforts will be more effective and sustainable for the country.Enhancing digital literacy and providing access
to digital tools and platforms can bridge the gap for Afghan youth, enabling them to participate in the global economy, pursue remote work
opportunities, and innovate within their local contexts,& said UNFPA.This comes after the National Statistics and Information Authority
(NSIA) said the population of Afghanistan is estimated to be about 35.7 million.The NSIA said 18.2 million were female and 17.5 million were
male.In addition, NSIA officials said 9.2 million people live in cities and over 25 million people live in villages.Last year, the NSIA
estimated the population of Afghanistan to be 34.9 million.Surveys conducted by different international organizations meanwhile put the
population at over 40 million.The last actual census carried out in Afghanistan was in 1979
