INSUBCONTINENT EXCLUSIVE:
The Ministry of Energy and Water on Sunday signed a contract for expediency, geophysics and geotechnical research studies of the Baghdara
Dam in Kapisa province with Metallurgical Corp of China (MCC), the contractor of Mes Aynak copper mine.The contract was signed between Abdul
Latif Mansoor, Acting Minister of Energy and Water, and Song Wen Bing, director of MCC.Speaking at the event, Mansoor highlighted the value
of the Baghdara Dam project in supplying the electrical power required for the Mes Aynak task in Logar province and highlighted that the
application of the Baghdara Dam task will be a milestone in joint cooperation in between Afghanistan and China.He also stressed the
expansion and advancement of cooperation between China and Afghanistan and guaranteed the Chinese ambassador and MCC officials that the
environment is favorable for investment in Afghanistan and the Islamic Emirate is dedicated to comply in this regard
