TEHRAN The Israeli regime has supposedly expanded its occupation of the southwestern Syrian province of Quneitra.Local sources informed
regional media that the Israeli military performed an attack into the Quneitra countryside, accompanied by military support from those
profession forces already deployed in the Syrian territory
The operation supposedly focused on the destruction of Syrian military devices in the area.Regional reports state that Israeli profession
forces penetrated Ain al-Nouriyah town in Quneitra, damaging residues of 2 former Syrian army units and causing panic among
residents.Reports suggest that Israeli profession forces damaged 2 previous Syrian army systems, a mortar and an anti-armor rocket unit, on
a strategic hill in Quneitra.The presence of the Israeli military stimulated panic amongst local residents, particularly as incursions
expanded and Israeli patrols increased throughout the Quneitra countryside and Mount Hermon.This comes simply days after residents of
another village in Quneitra rejected any help from the Israeli profession forces, securely stating that they would decline assistance from
an entity that occupies their land.Locals told regional news firms that Israeli occupation soldiers get in and leave the village more than
10 times a day, performing home searches and instilling fear amongst females and children.Quneitra is deemed an important area in Israeli
territorial aspirations, especially after the failure of the previous Syrian federal government in December 2024
Its strategic area and distance to crucial borders make it essential for the programs more comprehensive geopolitical objectives.The area
sits next to the Israeli-occupied Syrian Golan Heights and extends down to the capital Damascus, including its countryside and extending to
a surrounding province surrounding Jordan
Its geographic positioning makes it strategically significant.The Israeli military captured the whole Golan Heights and destroyed over 80
percent of Syrias military assets following the topple of the Assad federal government
This marked a significant shift in the balance of power between Syria and its long time enemy.The new rulers in Damascus have revealed no
resistance to Israeli growth and the continuous occupation of Syrian territory, allowing Israeli control to solidify without
opposition.Earlier this month, The Washington Post reported that the Israeli army is building a series of long-term military settlements in
numerous Syrian towns under its profession, additional entrenching its control over the region.
