Buzzing stocks: Adani Power, PNB, Hindalco, Bajaj Finance

NEW DELHI: Adani Power, with over 1.61 crore shares changing hands, was leading the pack of most traded stocks on NSE in morning trade on
Wednesday. Punjab National Bank (PNB) (1.41 crore) and Reliance Communications (1.18 crore) were up next. Vakrangee (1.16 crore), Hindalco
Industries (0.75 crore), Adani Enterprises (0.68 crore), Alok Industries (0.61 crore), Suzlon Energy (0.44 crore), SAIL (0.31 crore) and
Jaiprakash Associates (0.30 crore) too featured among the most traded stocks on NSE. On the other hand, the pack of most active stocks in
value terms was led by Hindalco Industries (Rs 170.66 crore). It was followed by, Bajaj Finance (Rs 139.11 crore), Adani Enterprises (Rs
124.18 crore), Punjab National Bank (Rs 116.89 crore), SRF (Rs 111.61 crore), Tata Steel (Rs 110.50 crore), HDFC Bank (Rs 100.73 crore) and
Maruti Suzuki (Rs 92.22 crore). Market was lacklustre despite broadly positive global cues
Nikkei and Hang Seng were up by half-a-per cent, but Shanghai SE Composite Index was in the red
Gain in Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, Asian Paints and State Bank of India were offset by losses in Infosys, ICICI Bank, HDFC, Axis Bank
and Maruti. Equity benchmarks Nifty and Sensex were trading flat at 11,389 and 37,665, respectively around 9:45 am. In the Nifty index, 25
stocks were advancing, while 25 were declining. Hindalco Industries, Zee Entertainment Enterprises, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv and Tech
Mahindra were leading among Nifty scrips. However, BPCL, ICICI Bank, HPCL, HCL Technologies and Wipro were among the top losers in the Nifty
pack of stocks.
