[Afghanistan] - Japan contributes $7 million to WFP in Afghanistan

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in Afghanistan revealed Monday Japan had contributed $7 million to support emergency food
assistance, prevent poor nutrition and reinforce school feeding programmes.This financing will make it possible for WFP to offer emergency
situation food help to nearly 30,000 households & over 200,000 individuals & for 3 months
Furthermore, more than 60,000 pregnant and breastfeeding moms and kids will get specific nutritious food
The contribution will also support day-to-day school snacks for almost 30,000 school children, enhancing their ability to find out and focus
in the classroom, WFP stated in a declaration

& WFP is committed to supporting the most vulnerable, especially women-headed households
Thanks to the kindness of partners like Japan, we &'ve had the ability to reach more than 12 million people last year, offering a crucial
lifeline in the face of continuous obstacles
