NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading mixed in Friday's session
The Nifty FMCG index was trading flat at 31,384 around 12 pm
Shares of Jubilant Foodworks (up 1.40 per cent), GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (up 0.93 per cent) and ITC (up 0.41 per cent) were the
top gainers in the index.
Colgate-Palmolive (India) (up 0.37 per cent), Godrej Industries (up 0.36 per cent), Procter Gamble Hygiene
Healthcare (up 0.23 per cent) and Marico (up 0.12 per cent) too were in the green.
However, Tata Global Beverages (down 2 per cent), United
Breweries (down 1.18 per cent), Dabur India (down 0.86 per cent) and Britannia Industries (down 0.46 per cent) featured among the top
losers.
United Spirits (down 0.41 per cent), Emami (down 0.40 per cent), Hindustan Unilever (HUL) (down 0.37 per cent) and Godrej Consumer
Products (down 0.30 per cent) too were suffering
The NSE Nifty50 index was down 36 points at 11,435, tracking weak global cues
Sustained selling in heavyweights, including ICICI Bank, Reliance Industries and State Bank of India weighed on equity benchmarks.
The BSE
Sensex was 116 points down at 37,908.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 16 were trading in the green, while 34 were in the red
