One person has reportedly been injured in a shooting incident at Malapalla in Kottawa.The shooting had taken place near a temple int he area
this evening (8) while the injured person has been admitted to the Homagama Hospital, police said.UPDATE: The 43-year-old person injured in
the shooting incident at Malapalla, Kottawa has succumbed to his injuries, the Police confirmed.Police further mentioned that the deceased
person is a resident of Embilipitiya area.Police suspect that the shooting was carried out using a pistol, while no information has been
revealed how the assailant arrived at the crime scene.Investigations are underway to arrest the suspects, the police noted.
