Yue Xiaoyong, China’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, met with Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Foreign Minister, to discuss the
expansion of political relations and economic cooperation between the two countries.
According to a statement released by the Afghan
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chinese envoy expressed Beijing’s continued support for Afghanistan at the international level and
extended a formal invitation to Muttaqi to visit Beijing later this month.
The Foreign Ministry confirmed that Muttaqi has accepted the
invitation.
