Wang Yi meets with Bolivian Foreign Minister Celinda Sosa Lunda

Foreign Minister Celinda Sosa Lunda on Wednesday in Beijing.Wang said that Bolivia is an important progressive force for Latin America
China appreciates Bolivia's determination to safeguard its national dignity and legitimate rights and interests without fear of external
interference.This year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Bolivia and the 200th
anniversary of Bolivia's independence, Wang said, adding that China's policy towards Bolivia remains consistent and stable. China is
willing to continue to support Bolivia on issues concerning each other's core interests and be good friends who trust each other, good
partners who seek common development and good brothers who are close to each other, Wang said.The two sides should continue to deepen
high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, promote the brotherly friendship between Bolivia and China to a new level and better promote the
modernization development of the two countries, Wang noted.Wang also congratulated Bolivia on becoming a BRICS partner country and said that
China is willing to strengthen communication and cooperation with Bolivia in multilateral mechanisms, jointly practice multilateralism and
safeguard international fairness and justice.Sosa congratulated China on successfully hosting the fourth ministerial meeting of the
China-CELAC (the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States) Forum, noting that China is an important strategic partner for
Bolivia.Sosa said that Bolivia hopes to upgrade cooperation with China in various fields and accelerate the country's development and
revitalization with the help of using the vast opportunities brought by the cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.
