INSUBCONTINENT EXCLUSIVE:
An annual celebration of China–Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) scientific and technological innovation cooperation is about
to begin
The 4th China-CEEC Expo will be held in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, from May 22 to 25, under the theme "New Visions for the Future." With
Slovakia and Slovenia serving as dual guests of honor, the expo will spotlight technological frontiers and industrial innovation, aiming to
create a new model for cross-regional collaborative development.Blending digital and intelligence: World premieres of CEEC 'black
technologies'As a sci-tech hub in the southern wing of the Yangtze River Delta, Ningbo will demonstrate its technological strength as host
of the event
The expo will launch the first-ever "Digital & Intelligent CEEC" exhibition area, bringing together cutting-edge global tech
Leading Chinese enterprises such as Shanghai Zhiyuan Robotics and Beijing Xingdong Era, along with Zhejiang-based companies like Unitree,
DeepSeek and Lingban Technology, will present humanoid robots, quadruped robots and AR interaction technologies
Local Ningbo innovators including the Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, Junpu Research Institute and Emergen will also join,
displaying more than 10 humanoid robots and other groundbreaking innovations.CEECs will bring their own showcase of "black technologies":
Hungary's large-scale multi-sensory VR park will immerse visitors in a digital world; Slovenia's Pipistrel, a global leader in electric
aircraft, will present lightweight and high-performance models; and Hungary's "Magic Wall" will let audiences explore Hungarian history and
culture through simple gestures, blending technology with cultural interaction.Dual guest countries: A new chapter of win-win
cooperationSlovakia and Slovenia, serving as guest countries of honor, will broaden their participation beyond traditional wine and food
displays to include general aviation, intelligent manufacturing and digital technology
Slovenia's national pavilion, themed "Green, Innovative, Smart," will feature five zones – green ecology, food tasting, low-altitude
economy and more – showcasing clean energy applications and innovative products such as electric gliders
Slovakia's pavilion will spotlight cultural crafts, premium wines and smart mobility, highlighting crystal products and general aviation
projects.Notably, Slovenia opposed the EU's tariff hike on Chinese electric vehicles in October 2024, signaling potential for deeper
cooperation in new energy vehicles, battery technologies and related sectors during the expo. The expo will also feature industrial
matchmaking events such as the Slovenia Port Cooperation Conference and Slovakia's General Aviation Project Promotion, along with investment
platforms like the 2025 "Invest in Zhejiang" New Energy Vehicle Industry Matchmaking
These initiatives aim to foster cross-border collaboration in areas including VR technology, aviation and more. From humanoid robots to
virtual reality innovations, and from clean energy to smart mobility solutions, the expo will not only highlight technological breakthroughs
but also mark a new starting point for China and CEECs to jointly explore technological frontiers and industrial development with an open
and collaborative spirit.
