A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said on Monday that China will conditionally resume imports of aquatic products from areas of Japan
that fulfill Chinas regulatory requirements and standards.Spokesperson Mao Ning made the remarks at a regular press briefing in reaction to
a related query.Mao stated Japan, at the strong request of China and the international community, accepted global monitoring of the
Fukushima nuclear-contaminated water discharge, along with independent tasting and tracking by China, and assured to ensure the constant
implementation of keeping an eye on activities.She stated that based upon this dedication, China held several rounds of consultations with
Japan relating to the resumption of Japanese aquatic product exports to China
She added that Japan guaranteed to take a series of credible and visible steps to ensure the quality and safety of its water products for
China and enhance its regulatory framework.In accordance with Chinas laws and guidelines and worldwide trade rules, and based on scientific
evidence, consisting of data gathered from tracking by all celebrations to date and sensible analysis and research study, the relevant
Chinese authorities released an announcement the other day to conditionally resume marine product imports from some regions of Japan that
meet Chinas policy requirements and standards, she said.The spokesperson said the appropriate authorities will continue to step up
regulation to ensure public food safety
