INSUBCONTINENT EXCLUSIVE:
NEW DELHI: Losses in Reliance Industries (down 2.45 per cent), Indraprastha Gas (down 1.15 per cent) and Indian Oil Corporation (down 0.80
per cent) were keeping the BSE Oil Gas index down during the afternoon trade on Monday.
The BSE Oil Gas index was trading 0.77 per cent
down at 14,474 around 01:20 pm (IST).
Castrol India (down 0.61 per cent), HPCL (down 0.33 per cent), GAIL (India) (down 0.20 per cent),
Petronet LNG (down 0.04 per cent) and ONGC (down 0.03 per cent) were also in the red.
Meanwhile, shares of Oil India (up 0.43 per cent) and
BPCL (up 0.10 per cent) were trading with slight gains around the same time
Equity benchmarks were in the green on across the board buying, while IT, bank and metal stocks leading.
The NSE Nifty50 index was up 53
points at 10,745, while the BSE Sensex was up 200 points at 35,170.
In the Sensex index, 27 stocks were trading up, while 4 stocks -- Axis
Bank, Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank and ONGC -- were down.
