NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index was trading 2.72 per cent up at 264 around 02:40 pm on Friday.
Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate (up 4.67
per cent) were the top gainers in the realty index, followed by Prestige Estates Projects (up 4.56 per cent) and Oberoi Realty (up 4.39 per
cent).
Unitech (up 3.28 per cent), DLF (up 3.16 per cent), Brigade Enterprises (up 2.74 per cent), Housing Development Infrastructure (up
1.36 per cent), Sobha (up 1.31 per cent) and Phoenix Mills (up 0.46 per cent) too were trading with gains.
Godrej Properties (down 0.47 per
cent) was the only loser in the index.
Equity market was in the positive terrain on healthy buying by investors as the industrial production
grew at 6.6 per cent in July and retail inflation cooled to a 10-month low.
Inflation based on wholesale prices eased to a four-month low of
4.53 per cent in August on softening of prices of food articles, especially vegetables.
Positive Asian cues and rupee's improved health
also influenced the sentiment
The NSE Nifty50 index was up 113 points at 11,483, while the BSE Sensex was up 290 points up at 38,008
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 41 were trading in the green, while 9 were in the red
Indiabulls Housing Finance, BPCL, UPL, Vedanta and HPCL featured among the top Nifty gainers.
HCL Technologies, Infosys, Coal India, Wipro
and Bharti Airtel were among the top losers in the Nifty index.
