Nifty Realty index settles in the red; Godrej Properties top loser

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed Friday's session in the red on losses in Godrej Properties (down 3.79 per cent), HDIL (down 3 per
cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate (down 2.04 per cent). The Nifty Realty index settled 0.50 per cent down at 309. Oberoi Realty (down 1.41
per cent) and DLF (down 0.75 per cent) too remained among the losers in the index
However, shares of Phoenix Mills (up 4.41 per cent) surged over 4 per cent. Brigade Enterprises (up 1.73 per cent) and Unitech (up 0.99 per
cent) too pocketed gains. Sobha (up 0.02 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects (up 0.02 per cent) closed flat on Friday. The equity
benchmark Sensex finished day's trading 290 points, or 0.82 per cent, up at 35,536
As many as 23 stocks settled with gains, while 8 incurred losses in the index
The Nifty50 index closed 90 points, or 0.84 per cent, up at 10,807, with 38 stocks in the green and 12 in the red
For the week, both Sensex and Nifty rose by 1.78 per cent. Asian Paints, HPCL, Vedanta and BPCL remained the top gainers in the Nifty
index. Bharti Airtel, Sun Pharma, Titan, Tata Motors and Hero MotoCorp remained the top losers in the Nifty pack.
