NEW DELHI: PSU Bank shares were trading in the red with the Nifty PSU Bank index down 0.79 per cent at 2,978.65 on Monday.
Shares of
Oriental Bank of Commerce (down 3.32 per cent), Bank of India (down 1.93 per cent), Union Bank of India (down 0.97 per cent) and State Bank
of India (down 0.95 per cent) were the top losers in the index
Indian Bank (down 0.72 per cent), Canara Bank (down 0.72 per cent) and IDBI Bank (down 0.33 per cent) too were trading in the red
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 21 points at 10,703.2 while BSE Sensex was up 104.56 points at 35,561.72 around 11:40 am
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Idea Cellular, Bank of
Baroda, Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors, Vedanta, ICICI Bank, ITC, SBI, Bharti Airtel, Motherson Sumi and Hindalco Industries were among the most
traded shares on the NSE.
