Hyderabad: The Medical Superintendent of King Koti District Hospital refuted reports appeared in some sections of the media that several deaths occurred in the hospital due to absence of oxygen.
In a release provided here on Monday, he said the King Koti Medical facility had adequate stock of oxygen supplies, and 13 KL liquid oxygen tank of oxygen storage which can supply for 2 days.King Koti Hospital is a designated Covid-19 facility and critical cases are described here.
The 3 patients who passed away in the health center were in vital condition and were on assisted ventilation.
The diagnosis was explained to the clients' attendants at the time of admission, he stated.
The Medical Superintendent stated the reports associating the deaths to the lack of oxygen were not real.
It would taint the image of the medical facility which was serving Covid-19 cases for the past 14 months, he stated and included that the healthcare facility had actually been serving thousands of patients which there was no requirement to panic.However, there was no explanation regarding why numerous attendants hurried to get oxygen cylinders for their patients in the healthcare facility on Sunday, and continued to do so on Monday.
