VIJAYAWADA: Telugu Desam has objected to the federal government carry on turning temples into Covid centres.
TD state executive secretary Buchi Ram Prasad on Tuesday cautioned the Jagan Mohan Reddy government not to have fun with the sentiments of Hindus by continuing its partial attitude towards temples, archakas and fans in the state.Ram Prasad deplored pointed out that in the temples, there would be no toilet facilities normally, hence, it would not be possible to provide necessary facilities to the Covid patients.
He even more deplored that it was unfortunate that today rulers targeted the temples instead of utilizing schools and function halls that would have all the needed facilities.
Had this Chief Minister held an evaluation conference even once to discover and fix the issues of archakas in the temples? What did he do for their well-being archakas in the previous two years? he likewise asked.
The TD declared that since the YSRC concerned power, there were over 180 attacks on the Hindu temples all over Andhra Pradesh but the YSRC federal government miserably stopped working to take any single step.
He regreted that now the federal government was bold to turn the temples into the Covid centres.
It might even ask the archakas to do responsibilities at the Covid centres, he stressed.
He required that the federal government roll back its decision.
