KEONJHAR: Upset that a toad entered his house, a tribal guy prepared it for dinner and asked his household to consume it, with disastrous effects, as he lost one child and another is battling for life in hospital.Police said the victim, 6-year-old Sumitra Munda, passed away late on Friday at the Keonjhar district head office hospital, while her four-year old sibling, Muni, is critical and battling problems after consuming toad curry in Joda block of Keonjhar district on Thursday.The childrens condition turned important while their dad, Muna Munda, 40, who likewise consumed the curry, faced no issue.
Cops hurried to Guruda, a remote village under Bamebari police station, 70 km from Keonjhar, after finding out about incident.Witnesses and police stated that on Thursday evening, a toad went into the Munda households house, angering Sumitras daddy, who killed it and the household prepared it for dinner.
Later in the night, the children began throwing up and fell unconscious.
On Friday, they were required to Keonjhar district head office health center, where Sumitra passed away on Friday night.
Police started a probe after signing up a case of abnormal death in Bamebari police headquarters.
