BrahMos missile: Twenty five years ago BrahMos Aerospace was founded for India and Russia to jointly develop the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile.
Come 2023, the BrahMos is probably the only missile in the world that is being used by all three arms of the security forces.BrahMos is said to be the worlds "fastest supersonic cruise missile" - and it is the frontline weapon for all the three arms - Indian Navy, Indian Army and the Indian Air Force.

According to Atul Dinkar Rane, in three years time the missile system will be fully atmanirbhar.In January 2022, BrahMos Aerospace received its first export order from the Philippines for three shore-based anti-ship BrahMos batteries.
BrahMos Aerospace is in talks with a dozen countries for the export of this very potent weapon system.
Rane says that there is no equivalent of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile system in the world today.Interestingly, the Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan recently called the BrahMos missile system a Brahmastra of its time.In the video above, the BrahMos Aerospace MD - CEO also talks about the development of the BrahMos NG or BrahMos Next Generation, a lighter version of the current missile that will be integrated on the LCA (Light Combat Aircraft) Tejas.
He believes that the combination of LCA Tejas with two BrahMos NG and Astra missiles will be a very potent weapon system for export.
