JAMMU: One Army jawan was injured during a brief exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists at Gulpur Sector in Jammu and Kashmirs Poonch district.
Official sources said, "Acting on specific input, security personnel launched a search operation along the Line of Control (LoC) in Gulpur sector of Poonch late Friday evening and during ongoing operation, the Army troops were fired upon last night by the terrorists in Gulpur sector near Chakkan-da-Bagh area."The troops retaliated, and a brief exchange of firing was triggered, in which one jawan was reportedly injured," they said."Meanwhile the area has been cordoned off and a search operation is under way, sources added.WatchJ-K: Army opens fire after suspicious movement near LoC in Poonch, search operation underway
