PRAYAGRAJ: A 32-year-old woman chopped off her neighbours genitals following a dispute with him in Sharifpur village in Kaushambi district on Tuesday afternoon.Police have detained the woman, and seized the knife used in the crime.
Kaushambi police said a thorough probe was being carried out to find out the exact reason behind the attack.
The injured man, aged 26, is undergoing treatment in Prayagraj.Police said that the victims father lodged an FIR at Manjhanpur police station against the woman under sections 326 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapon) and 308 (culpable homicide) of IPC.The victims father alleged that the accused called up his son for some work at her house where they had a dispute over some issue.
He said that he found his son in an unconscious state inside his neighbours house and took him to a private hospital in Kaushambi.
However, doctors referred him to Prayagraj for treatment.
Police claimed that the womans husband was living in UAE and added that the victim had an argument with the accused on Tuesday.
