NEW DELHI: US-based wanted terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun seemed to be his belligerent self after US agencies claimed to have thwarted an assassination bid on him by mercenaries with allegedly an Indian connection.US claims to have thwarted assassination plot of Khalistani terrorist PannunViolence begets violence, is India ready to face the consequences? Pannun, an unabashed supporter of Khalistani terrorists, told TOI while sounding confident that the US government would protect him.Asserting that he would now let the US government do the talking, Pannun, who recently warned Air India of a repeat of the 1985 bombing of Boeing 747 Kanishka, generously invoked the ideals of the American constitution.
The foiled attempt on my life on American soil by Indian agents is transnational terrorism which is a threat to US sovereignty, freedom of speech and democracy, so I will let the US government respond to this threat, he said.Since the US government has made public statements on the attempt on my life by Indian government agents, I will let the Biden administration speak on this, he further said, adding that he would kick off the American phase of Khalistan Referendum from San Francisco on January 28.The Indian government is attempting to block this.
I am also giving a call to picket outbound flights AI 188 and AI 186 at Toronto and Vancouver airports in Canada on December 1, he said, putting a new construction on his threat to to do another Kanishka to Air India. The Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) functionary, a wanted terrorist, also confessed that he was behind the pro-Khalistan graffiti spray-painting incidents in India. While claiming that India was using mercenaries to kill pro-Khalistan Sikhs, he said he would continue to campaign for liberation of Punjab from Indian occupation. At this time, my focus is not threats to my life but to organise the referendum in the US, which the Indian government is attempting to block.
SFJ does not believe in territorial integrity of India.
I direct pro-Khalistan Sikhs to raise Khalistan flags and use graffiti as a democratic campaign, he added.
