AURANGABAD: Four women aged between 18 and 20, including two sisters and their friends, consumed poison in Bihar's Aurangabad district on Sunday evening.
While two died, the other two are battling for life at a hospital in Gaya."The sisters consumed poisonous substances at home as they were upset over an issue.
On learning of this, their two friends followed suit.When the condition of the four deteriorated, their kin admitted them to Aurangabad Sadar Hospital from where they were later referred to Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital in Gaya," said a cop.
One of the two sisters died on the way to the Gaya hospital on Sunday while one of their friends died at the facility on Monday.Aurangabad sub-divisional police officer Mohammad Amanullah Khan said the family members of the women were being quizzed.
"We are waiting for the women to recover to know the reason behind their actions.
They are not in a condition to give a statement at the moment," he added.
