A Boeing jet planned for use by a Chinese airline landed back at the planemakers U.S.
production hub on Saturday, a victim of the tit-for-tat bilateral tariffs released by PresidentDonald Trumpin his globaltrade offensive.The 737 MAX, which was suggested for Chinas Xiamen Airlines, landed at Seattles Boeing Field at 6:11 p.m., according to a Reuters witness.
It was painted with Xiamen livery.The jet, that made refueling drop in Guam and Hawaii on its 5,000-mile (8,000-km) return journey, was one ofseveral 737 MAX jetswaiting at Boeings Zhoushan conclusion center for last work and shipment to a Chinese provider.
