Damauli, June 14 As many as 1,358 persons received citizenship certificates at mobile camps operated in Tanahun district.The teams deployed from Tanahun District Administration Office distributed citizenship cards reaching at the doorsteps of the locals.
Citizenship cards were distributed to the people in the second week of June.
According to DAO, the office has been organising mobile camps every month with the aim to provide citizenship to those who could not visit the office.
Citizenship cards were distributed at Rising, Ghiring, Bandipur, Aanbukhairani, Devghat and Bhimad rural municipalities and Suklagandaki Municipality in the district.A total of 110 persons received citizenship cards at a mobile camp operated in Devghat Rural Municipality-2, a week ago.
Of them, 65 were female and 45 male.
Manisara Thapamagar, 71, of the rural municipality received the citizenship card at her door step.
Administrative Officer Lokraj Subedi said the disability cards were also distributed to seven differently abled persons and the name of 112 persons was registered on the voter list at the mobile camp.
His team distributed citizenship cards to the locals of Devghat.Assistant Chief District Officer Tulashi Ram Poudel said the villagers were glad to receive the citizenship cards at their doorsteps.
He said mobile camps would also be operated in Bhanu Municipality, Byas Municipality and Magde Rural Municipality in the current fiscal.The post 1,358 get citizenship from mobile camps appeared first on The Himalayan Times.
