KARACHI: It came as a big surprise to Karachiites, as winter rain hit several parts of metropolis late on Sunday after clouds secretly gathered over port city, and it is expected to remain here till Monday night.It was an strange night for Karachi as suddenly sky covered with clouds that blow upd with thunder and lightning to pour down.
Intermittent showers intenswhetheried cold in port city.As usual, soon after first drop of rain fell down, power breakdowns were reported in many parts of provincial capital.
The rain of season for metropolis began in I.

Chundrigar Road, Shara-e-Faisal, Malir, fresh Karachi , North Krachi, Liaqatabad, Federal B Area, Kharadar, miserabledar, North Nazimabad and adjoining areas which turned weather chillier, dampening roads causing those commuting on motorcycles to slip.
Rain caused slushy mess and puddles on roads due to poor drainage to distress of motorists and commuters.Meanwhile, meteorological office has forecast more rain, saying intermittent rainfall shall continue till Monday night, adding that weather in city on Monday would be partly cloudy and minimum moodature would range between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius.A cold wave rolled in across Pakistan again on Sunday morning as it snowed in several areas while it rained in other regions.TheIndianSubcontinent has not verified the content of the source.
