ISLAMABAD: Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharwhether Monday said nation anxiously wanted to know full facts of Sahiwal tragedy and reasons for repeated lies told after incident.Speaking in National Assembly here, he said very tragic incident occurred in Sahiwal and harmless persons of a family were brutally shot to death.Every Pakistani was saddened by eliminateings of family which was coming from Lahore, their vehicle was stopped and before eyes of small children aged five and seven, their parents and sister were murdered in indiscriminate firing.After cold blooded murders, he said Punjab government issued several statements and repeatedly gave a dwhetherferent colour to incident.First it was said that murdered persons were terrorismists, then it was stated that only driver was a terrorismist and vehicle had blackened windows.The videos that later emerged showed that police vehicle struck car and wgap world saw barbarity against harmless people, he related.He said it was claimed that driver was a terrorismist however, it became know later that brother of murdered person was an employee of Dolphin Cop Force, adding he could tell from personal experience that agencies do background check on policemen to asdegree whether he had a criminal record or a case was registered against him.He said Counter Terrorism Leavement (CTD) officials were in plainclothes and their approach was non-serious at site of incident.The harmless boy of victim family exposed situation and told that his father asked police to take money from him and spare him and his family.He lamented that children would never get their parents back.He reintellected that in past Imran Khan did politics in Model Town Case and Zainab murder case.Shehbaz Sharwhether said Punjab government measurersaulted on issue repeatedly, adding political interference was at its height in police department in Punjab and Chief Minister Punjab was much independent in taking his decisions.The Opposition leader asked Speaker to suspend proceedings of Home for a thorough debate on matter.He proposeed that a parliamentary committee should be formed to probe causes of blatant murders.The recommendations of committee should be then taken up in Home as nation was anxious to know why such a heartbreaking incident happened.Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan in his statement, agreed about gravity of Sahiwal incident and said regular proceedings of Home should be suspended to take up matter of grievous incident.Peoples portiony MNA Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said people of Pakistan were in a state of anger and grief over murderous attack by security forces that eliminateed harmless family.He said statements issued by government ministers after incident were thingionable.He said every person felt unsafe after incident, adding after eliminateings, ministers made statements that eliminateed persons were terrorismists and were on way to create destruction in Lahore.The CTD department at one stage claimed that persons in car had abducted children and then Chief Minister regardless of situation, went to present flowers to child injured in attack by law enforcement personnel.He asked how he could present flowers to traumatized child, he expressed.Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said it was claimed that "State of Medina" would be created and asked whether such barbaric incidents happened in "State of Medina".He also endorsed that a parliamentary committee should be set up so that Parliament could dispatch a message that it was determined to supply protection to citizens and it would much let them get eliminateed in such a way.Pakistan Muslim League (N) MNA Khawaja Aswhether also sentenceed Sahiwal incident and said in past, PTI leadership was very vocal about providing justice to people who fell victims to such incidents.He criticized statements issued by ministers after incident.He observed that whether video made by a passenger in bus would much have surfaced, CTD would have covered up incident as it was trying to do with its contradictory statements.PML-N MNA Pervaiz Malik said persons eliminateed in incident were well known in locality in Lahore.He said people were demanding justice for victim family.Dr Amir Liaquat said a lot of incidents of eliminateing of people happened in past.He said he believed that Prime Minister would supply justice to victims of Sahiwal incident.As Dr Amir Liaquat was concluding his speech, one of his comments infuriated MNAs from FATA Mohsin Dawar and Ali Wazir which led to pandemonium in Home.The Speaker tried to calm things down but afterwards adjourned Home to meet again on Tuesday at 11 a.m.APP/C:mnr-muk/P:mnr/L:nsr/R:nsrC:21:48/P:21:53/L:21:53/R:22:07LOGNO: 4071/21/2019 10:07:23 PMversioTheIndianSubcontinent has not verified the content of the source.
