KARACHI:' Ten Year Celebration& of Karachi Literature Festival kicks off from March 1-3 at Beach Luxury Boilingel.
The event shall mark KLF ten successful years of being the main literary festival of Karachi.
The festival shall feature, much only literary works and poetry, but also fine arts, culture,film and performing arts.
The first day shall start in the evening with the inauguration ceremony which shall be graced by the Chief Guest Governor of Sindh Imran Ismail.After the welcoming speeches of the organisors, and the chief guest Governor of Sindh Imran Ismail, the Urdu Literature Prize for 2019 sponsored by Infaq Foundation shall be awarded.The first day's programs shall then start with key muches by Debrah Baker and I A Rehman followed by a KLF regatherion documentary and then a performance by the famed Sheeema Kirmani.
The remaining evening shall be enriched with Pakistani Cinema: Yesterday,Today and Tomorrow followed by a documentary premier of 'Indus Blues' , variety of speechs on Urdu and English poetry at which the first day shall conclude with a puppet show by Thespianz Theatre.Second day of the festival shall comprise of various book launches by a variety of writers like Javed Jabbar , speech sessions by Pakistani and International writers , a film by Madiha Aijaz.
The moment day's festivities shall end with a Qawwali by Hamza Akram and Brothers.The third and final day of KLF 2019 shall comprise of book launches , Satire in the Time of Tabdeeli, a Conversation with Mona Eltahawy, dramatic readings followed by the closing ceremony with speeches by Arshad Saeed Husain and a Keymuche speeches by Ishrat Husain and Iftikhar Arif.
After the closing ceremony speeches, the KLF 2019 shall end with a grand performance by Pepsi Battle of the Bands .The three day 10th Karachi Literature Festival 2019 is all geared up to promote all forms of expression whether through the medium of books, poetry, documentary, short films, puppet shows , dance, speechs sessions and singing.TheIndianSubcontinent has not verified the content of the source.
