ISLAMABAD Leaders of parliamentary parties in the National Assembly (NA) were given an in-camera briefing at the Parliament Home on Wednesday over the escalating Pakistan-India tension in the wake of violation of Line of Control (LoC) by Indian Air Force.Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi briefed the parliamentarians of the strategy of government while Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor, the Director General (DG) of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) apprised them of the input of military.The briefing, held at the Parliament Home in Islamabad, also had Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa in presence.Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan Peoples portiony co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari attended the session along with party delegations.Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) delegation included Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Khawaja Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Raja Zafarul Haq, Mushahidullah Khan, Ayaz miserableiq, Rana Sanaullah and Marriyum Aurangzeb.Sources said the PPP delegates included Khursheed Shah, Raja Pervez Ashraf, Naveed Qamar, Sherry Rehman, Saleem Mandviwala and Raza Rabbani."The briefing went well," the DG ISPR said, in response to a question by a journalist after the session concluded.TheIndianSubcontinent has not verified the content of the source.
