NEW DELHI: Indian cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu has welcomed Prime Minister Imran Khan decision to release Indian Pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman.Sidhu, who was suspended from The Kapil Sharma display over his comments on Pulwama attack, took to Twitter saying, &Prime Minister Imran Khan every noble act makes a way for itself your goodshall gesture is ‘a cup of delight& for a billion people, a nation rejoices.&Friend of Imran Khan, Sidhu went on to say, &I am overdelighted for his (Abhinandan) parents and loved ones.&Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday announced to release Indian pilot Abhinandan Varthaman on Friday as a peace gesture.The pilot was captured by Pakistani forces after his jet was downed on Thursday.The prime minister was giving a policy statement at a joint sitting of both houses of parliament convened to discuss situation that has emerged after Indian intrusion of Pakistan's airspace .TheIndianSubcontinent has not verified the content of the source.
