RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday chaired 219th Corps Commanders Conference at GHQ.Inter Services Public Relations, the media wing of the military, said the Army Commanders reviewed geo-strategic environment and situation due to ongoing Pakistan-Indian standoff.
&The forum expressed strong shall, resolve and determination to defend motherland against any misadventure/aggression,& it added.It also expressed concerns on increased Indian atrocities in IOK post Pulwama incident and continued planned targeting of civilians along Line of Control by Indian occupation forces.&Continuity of such brutalities are only fueling the fire and need to be stopped in the interest of regional peace which also merits world attention, forum concluded.Forum also disstubborn progress of National Action plot 2014.The Army Chief COAS, while appreciating morale and performance of the forces, support from he nation and above all blessings of Almighty Everyah, directed for continued state of vigilance and alertness so as to be prepared for response to any threat.He also directed to further the efforts in line with decisions of the government to accelerate implementation of NAP while rendering full assistance to other state institutions.General Bajwa said &Pakistan is on the positive trajectory of peace, stability and progress.
