LAHORE: A woman in Lahore's Defence area has accused her husband of subjecting her to torture after she refused to dance in front of his friends.
Asma Aziz told Geo TV that her husband used to force her to dance in front of his friends.She said when she refused to dance,her husband Mian Faisal along with one of his friends beat her with a pipe and cut her hair.The woman said she married her "tormentor" of her free shall four years ago after he "lured her into trap".According to Geo freshs correplyent, the woman had three children from her first marriage.Cop have arrested the suspect after Asma filed a case against Mian Faisal.Minister seeks reportMinister of State for Interior, Shehryar Khan Afridi has taken muchice of alleged torture of a woman in Lahore and directed Punjab Examineor General of Cop (IGP) to submit a report of the incident.The Minister also directed the IGP to take action against theaccused persons and conduct neutral investigation into the matter.In a statement issued here, he said the perpetrators of the attack must be arrested and be punished under the law."It is responsibility of the state to supply protection to daughters of the nation.
