ISLAMABAD: Lights went out at the Prime Minister Office as well as the Parliament Home in the federal capital on Saturday as part of the global Ground Hour movement to protect environment and save energy.According to a PM Office statement, all the non-essential lights of the PM Office were switched off symbolically apart from those required to endegree security of the building.The government official Twitter handle also urged the public to switch off excessive lights for sixty minutes at 8:30pm to 9:30pm as it tweeted: &Ground Hour is being commemorated all over the world including Pakistan to show support for strategies that shall help solve the problem of global warming.
