One Country One Law should be the policy of the country, said Economic Reforms and Public Distribution Non-Cabinet Minister Harsha de Silva said in Parliament yesterday. He also queried as to why the Madrasa Schools to be regulated under the Muslim Affairs Ministry. He stated that those schools should come under the Education Ministry like all other education institutions in the country.He made these observations yesterday joining the adjournment motion which debated for the third day on Easter Sunday suicide bomb attacks by the Islam extremists and its impact on Tourism Industry and other related industries.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR SEA AREAS AROUND THE ISLAND
Mainly fair weather will prevail over the sea areas around the island. Winds will be South-westerly and speed will be 25-35 kmph in the sea areas around the island. Wind speed can be increase up to 50-55 kmph at times in the sea areas extending from Puttalam to Kankasanturai via Mannar and the sea area extending from Matara to Batticaloa via Hambantota. Deep and shallow sea areas extending from Matara to Batticaloa via Hambantota can be rough at times. Naval and fishing communities are requested to be vigilant in this regards.

The time period to hand over illegal weapons currently in their possession to the police has been extended by another 48 hours, says the Police Spokesperson. On May 4th, the police requested the public to hand over the illegal swords, kris knives and sharp dagger to the nearest police station by Sunday (May 5th).
