As a measure of controlling the spreading of new coronavirus in the country, Sri Lanka Navy conducted a sterilization programme at Court Complex premises in Galle, (29th March 2020).

The Police had arrested 227 persons between 12.00 noon and 6.00 pm today (29) for violating curfew regulations and had taken into custody 50 vehicles.

Another 130 persons who had completed their quarantine procedure are scheduled to return to their homes today, said Army Commander Lt. Gen. Shavendra Silva.

When the curfew is lifted tomorrow the public should engage in purchasing goods following proper instructions without misusing the facility and all shops should open during the period the curfew is lifted to facilitate smooth purchasing for the public, said Army Commander Lt. Gen. Shavendra Silva.
