NEW DELHI: Reliance Communications, with over 1.68 crore shares changing hands, was leading pack of most traded stocks on NSE in morning trade on Friday.It was followed by Tata Motors (number of shares traded: 0.50 crore), NBCC (0.47 crore), Ashok Leyland (0.32 crore), JP Associates (0.30 crore), YES Bank (0.29 crore) and Jet Airways (0.28 crore).On other hand, Reliance Industries (Rs 166.61 crore) emerged as most active stock in terms of value on NSE in morning session on Friday.
Eicher Motors (Rs 115.58 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 97.03 crore), Tata Motors (Rs 85.86 crore), Indiabulls Housing Finance (Rs 81.90 crore), BEML (Rs 75.85 crore), Jet Airways (Rs 66.72 crore), TCS (Rs 62.55 crore), Infosys (Rs 59.38 crore) and Tata Steel (Rs 56.66 crore) also featured among most active stocks in value terms.
Domestic equity benchmarks opened on a positive note on Friday after two consecutive sessions of losses.However, market pared most gains on selling in select heavyweights, including ICICI Bank, Reliance Industries and TCS.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 12 points up at 10,684, while BSE Sensex was up 51 points at 35,564 around 09:40 am.Among 50 stocks in Nifty index, 21 were in green and 29 were in red.Bharti Infratel, Tata Motors, Bharti Airtel, NTPC and Indiabulls Housing Finance were among gainers in Nifty index.ICICI Bank, HCL Technologies, Sun Pharma, Tata Consultancy Services and Reliance Industries were leading among Nifty losers.
