NEW DELHI: NBCC with over 0.73 crore shares changing hands was leading among most traded stocks on NSE on Tuesday.Shares of Ashok Leyland (number of shares traded: 0.33 crore), Reliance Communications (number of shares traded: 0.32 crore), India Cements (number of shares traded: 0.24 crore), YES Bank (number of shares traded: 0.24 crore), Tata Motors (number of shares traded: 0.18 crore), PNB (number of shares traded: 0.15 crore), IDFC Bank (number of shares traded: 0.13 crore), JP Associates (number of shares traded: 0.13 crore) and GRUH Finance (number of shares traded: 0.10 crore) also featured among most traded stocks on NSE.Eicher Motors (Rs 104.05 crore) was leading pack of most active stocks in value terms.It was followed by Infosys (Rs 69.94 crore) , HDFC Bank (Rs 60.47 crore) , NBCC (Rs 45.79 crore) , Bandhan Bank Ltd.
(Rs 45.71 crore) , YES Bank (Rs 44.35 crore) , Aurobindo Pharma (Rs 35.02 crore) , RIL (Rs 34.22 crore) , Indiabulls Housing Finance (Rs 34.14 crore) and Sun Pharma (Rs 33 crore).
The NSE Nifty index was trading 25.95 points down at 10,745.85, while BSE Sensex was down 53.4 points at 35,796.76 around 09:24 am on Tuesday.
In Nifty index, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (up 1.62 per cent), Tata Motors (up 1.45 per cent), JSW Steel (up 0.66 per cent), Tata Steel (up 0.61 per cent) and Eicher Motors (up 0.59 per cent) were among top gainers.
While Mahindra Mahindra (down 1.01 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (down 1.00 per cent), Bharti Infratel (down 0.99 per cent), Indiabulls Housing Finance (down 0.93 per cent) and NTPC (down 0.91 per cent) were top losers in Nifty pack of stocks.
