NEW DELHI: The domestic equity benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 172.77 points down at 35,837.07 on Monday on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.Shares of Ecoplast (up 19.05 per cent), Nila Spaces (up 16.37 per cent), Shiva Global (up 11.68 per cent), DQ Entertainmnt (up 11.33 per cent), Ponni Sugars (up 10.86 per cent), Jyoti (up 10.49 per cent), Williamson Magor (up 10.06 per cent), Swastika Investmart (up 9.96 per cent), Gujarat Hy-Spin (up 9.78 per cent) and Akme Star Housing Finance (up 9.76 per cent) were among top performers.
Jubilant Industries (up 7.91 per cent)and Cords Cable (up 7.90 per cent) too were trading around 7 per cent higher at around same time.
The Nifty 50 index was trading 56.15 points down at 10,738.80.
Among 50 components in Nifty index, 9 shares were trading in green, while 41 were in red.
