NEW DELHI: Auto shares were trading in red in Monday's morning trading session.Shares of Exide Industries (down 2.08 per cent), Apollo Tyres (down 1.68 per cent), Tata Motors (down 1.57 per cent) and Bharat Forge (down 1.49 per cent) were worst performers in index.
Motherson Sumi Systems (down 1.12 per cent), Bajaj Auto (down 1.11 per cent), Mahindra Mahindra (down 0.92 per cent) and Bosch (down 0.90 per cent) too were trading with losses.
The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.84 per cent down at 8788.05 around 10:10 am on Monday.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 69.85 points at 10,725.10 while BSE Sensex was down 216.87 points at 35,792.97.
Among 50 stocks in Nifty index, 7 were trading in green, while 43 were in red.
Shares of YES Bank, Infosys, ICICI Bank, Tata Motors, SAIL, Indian Oil Corp, Bank of Baroda, LT Fin Holding, Ashok Leyland, SBI, Axis Bank, Vedanta, ITC, Hindalco Inds., Tata Steel and Avenue Supermarts were among most traded shares on NSE.
