NEW DELHI: PSU Bank shares were trading lower with Nifty PSU Bank index down in Monday's morning trading session.
The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 0.41 per cent down at 3071.45 around 10:41 am.
Shares of IDBI Bank (down 2.49 per cent), Central Bank of India (down 1.29 per cent), Syndicate Bank (down 0.79 per cent)and Punjab National Bank (down 0.72 per cent) were worst performers in index.
Bank of Baroda (down 0.42 per cent), Vijaya Bank (down 0.32 per cent)and Union Bank of India (down 0.32 per cent) too were trading with losses.Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 70.85 points at 10,977.80 while BSE Sensex was up 272.59 points at 36659.20.
Among 50 stocks in Nifty index, 25 were trading in green, while 25 were in red.
Shares of Sun Pharma, YES Bank, RIL, Vodafone Idea, Wipro, Larsen Toubro, NTPC, Ashok Leyland, LT Fin Holding, Infosys, Motherson Sumi and BHEL were among most traded shares on NSE.
