NEW DELHI: Most shares of public sector banks were trading lower with Nifty PSU Bank index down in Tuesday's morning session.Shares of Union Bank of India (down 1.22 per cent), Bank of India (down 0.75 per cent), Oriental Bank of Commerce (down 0.75 per cent) and State Bank of India (down 0.62 per cent) were top losers in index.
Bank of Baroda (down 0.56 per cent), Vijaya Bank (down 0.43 per cent) and Punjab National Bank (down 0.37 per cent) too were trading with losses.
The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 0.47 per cent down at 3029.15 around 10:22 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 41.15 points at 10,920.70 while BSE Sensex was down 134.02 points at 36,444.94.
Among 50 stocks in Nifty index, 14 were trading in green, while 36 were in red.
Shares of Sun Pharma, YES Bank, Ashok Leyland, LT Fin Holding, Idea Cellular, Kotak Bank, RIL, SAIL, Vedanta , Bank of Baroda, Tata Steel and Tata Motors were among most traded shares on NSE.
