NEW DELHI: Realty shares were trading lower in Wednesday's afternoon session.Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate (down 5.41 per cent), Unitech (down 3.57 per cent) and DLF (down 3.47 per cent) were the worst performers in the index.
Phoenix Mills (down 1.72 per cent), Sunteck Realty (down 0.41 per cent) and Sobha (down 0.24 per cent) too were trading in the red.The Nifty Realty index was trading 0.67 per cent down at 222.45 around 12:00 pm.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 77.05 points at 11,011.40 while the BSE Sensex was up 241.10 points at 36,857.91.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 were trading in the green, while 11 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Zee Entertainment, Vodafone Idea, BHEL, ICICI Bank, Tech Mahindra, NTPC, Ashok Leyland, Vedanta and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
