NEW DELHI: OMCs were trading in the green in Monday's afternoon session with their sectoral index on BSE in the positive zone.Shares of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (up 5.43 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (up 4.26 per cent), Indian Oil Corporation (up 3.73 per cent) and Oil India (up 2.24 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.
Petronet LNG (up 2.01 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation (up 1.90 per cent), Reliance Industries (up 1.83 per cent) and Castrol India (up 1.58 per cent) too were trading higher.
The SP BSE Oil Gas index was trading 2.53 per cent up at 14,671.99 around 02:04 pm.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 115.15 points at 11,150.55 while the BSE Sensex was up 319.18 points at 36,990.61.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 43 were trading in the green, while 7 were in the red.
Shares of Suzlon Energy, Reliance Communications, Reliance Power, Infibeam Avenues, CG Power, NALCO, JP Associates, DHFL and Adani Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
